The sun has set in all its amazing Hawaiian glory. Another fabulous vacation day is about over. What did we do today? Just relaxed!
We meant to leave at 7:30 this morning to go snorkeling, but after we got up we all agreed we were just too tired. "There are no snorkel police! And we are on vacation!" Lotus exclaimed emphatically and Ben and I agreed completely. After lazing around the lanai with second cups of coffee, Lotus and I hung around the pool while Ben stayed in the suite to read the news. Back to the rooms for more hanging out until we grew a bit restless and hungry and decided to drive south to Shaka Tacoz for an excellent late lunch. Then more hanging out until Lotus went off to have dinner with some friends and I hit the fitness room for some weight lifting.
Soon Ben and I will catch an Uber or Lyft to go into Kailua-Kona for dinner at a local well-reviewed place called Jackie Rey's.
But tomorrow is our last full day before we fly out Sunday night so we really are leaving at 7:30 to snorkel and really will do some more sight seeing. But maybe we'll also squeeze in just a bit more relaxing. I sure will miss this comfortable lanai and these beautiful sunsets!
