I've been weeding the fiction collection at the school library where I work, with very rewarding results. Shelves that have been jammed in certain sections......

Of course, it's hard to decide to get rid of a book, but I feel confident that after three years of working with this collection and its user population, I know what to keep and what needs to be moved out. And getting rid of stale books means making space for new, fresh books, always a happy result of weeding.
As a reward for my labor, after school I went to check out the brand new
Wegman's store which has opened close by. I found it to be an odd combination of warehouse grocery store and upscale food market, quite diverting to explore.
