Poncho Swag

Oh my, how it rained today!  The "steady" rain of the early morning turned into a downpour and we watched from our balcony as families trudged or ran through the rain, depending on their style and whether they had rain gear.  We had a good breakfast nearby, found the hotel's game room, and visited the fitness center, but by mid afternoon we were really tired of wetness and bleakness.  

We had come unprepared so I bought two thin ponchos for the boys to wear when we walked a few blocks to dinner and the movie early in the evening.  By then the rain had let up a bit but a strong wind had kicked in.  While we waited in line to get into the movie the boys had quite a time managing their flowing ponchos, and quickly turned it into an opportunity to create "poncho swag." 

Coming out of the movie a couple of hours later we were surprised to see that a real storm was raging.  The forecast is still for clear skies tomorrow, though, so we're hoping for better weather.  

Meanwhile, I'm heartened that we had such a good day despite the storm.  Such weather can make tempers fray, but we escaped that trap and had a pretty good time together.
