Ours!

It's official!  We now own a home in Boulder, Colorado! 

Ben flew out on Tuesday afternoon, the walk through was that night, and the closing was Wednesday morning.  Everything went very smoothly and the house is now officially ours.   

Ben texted me this photo Tuesday night.  Doesn't it look warm and cozy?

It's a bit odd to have a house that we aren't moving into right away.  When we bought our past two homes there was a whirlwind of activity with buying, selling, moving out and moving in all wrapped up in a brief and hectic span of time.  

With this home we're enjoying a much more leisurely process, with just the "buying" part taking place right now.   While it's somewhat frustrating to not be taking the next step of "moving in," the delay  does remove the frantic pace and allows us to enjoy the pleasurable buildup of anticipation as we learn more about our new home and make plans for our future in it. 

I have a fun day ahead of me today with plans to meet my sister for some shopping in Annapolis and have dinner with a friend.  I'm sewing the binding on a fall table runner and hope to get that finished today so I can start using it before the Christmas season is upon us!
