We are now in Boulder, but before I tell you about what we found there
I have to tell you about Kansas.
I expected to hate driving across Kansas. I had heard about mile after mile of colorless flat fields and had prepped my computer so I could watch reruns of The Gilmore Girls as the hours passed by.
Instead, I looked out the window and saw so many beautiful sights that I grabbed the iPad and took photographs.
I quite liked driving through Kansas. Spikey liked it, too, although he got a little excited when he spotted another Bearded Dragon looking at him from the car door handle.
When we did enter Colorado...
...we were soon greeted by an amazing hail storm. I swear the hail was the size of ping pong balls and it came straight at us with such a force that I thought the windshield would break.
I was driving and scared half to death but we soon took refuge with several other cars in the shelter of an underpass.
But you know what they say about the weather in Colorado; "If you don't like it, just wait a few minutes and it will change."
And sure enough the hail soon ended, the sun began to come out, and the mountains suddenly appeared right in front of us.
Beautiful!
