We’re Back!

It threatened rain all day and I was tired of  eating at home and we were fully vaccinated so I said “Let’s go downtown!”  and we did.   So just like in the old preCovid days we fetched up a Lyft and were soon sitting at a bar top table enjoying a margarita that we didn’t make ourselves.  

Well, not exactly like the old days since the restaurant we went to had closed and then changed hands during 2020, so instead of going to our favorite Italian place we were going to a new Mexican place.   And we sat at stools next to the bar since the bar itself was closed.

But it was great.   That restaurant always was spacious and we weren’t crowded. Out of respect for the younger and perhaps unvaccinated staff we wore masks unless we were drinking or eating. Otherwise it was business as usual.  And it was such fun.  

I'd forgotten how much I love the sound of a busy and happy restaurant, the banter with staff, and the fun of checking out the other patrons.  We're back!!
