Shiver Me Timbers....!
Woke up to howling winds, a bitter wind chill, and the loud cracking sound of Wysteria seed pods cracking open. We remembered this phenomona from past years....the sound of firecrackers when the pods burst open and the seeds fly across the driveway. Paul went out to stand under the Wysteria vine so he could be "attacked" by the flying seeds and later set out to collect them.
Ben & I went out to dinner at National Harbor with friends while Paul played with their two boys at their house. The wind down by the river was incredibly strong and cold, but it was still beautiful to be near the water. I loved seeing the sunset from inside the warm restaurant and we were all quite entertained by the spectacular show of lights on the outdoor tree.
