It was another beautiful sunny day and we went for a short walk in the woods before getting our many chores done. Although our yard sports a fuzz of greening grass and a few of our daffodils have opened, there were no signs of spring in the shadowed woods. Something that was new on this hike was that Paul walked ahead of us most of the time. I don't think he wanted to be separate from us, since he kept talking to us as we walked. I think he just liked the feeling of having his own space in the wide open air and the illusion that he was leading us.
