We've lost a whole row of sunflowers to some chomping animal or animals. I presume the little herd of deer that we've frequently seen in our yard had themselves quite a party last night munching away on these tasty treats. We planted two types of sunflowers and they only ate these. The others haven't grown as tall yet, so either the deer don't the taste of those flowers or they don't like to bend over to eat!
