We get pumpkin crazy around this time of year, buying them whenever we run across them at grocery stores, nurseries, harvest festivals and, of course, pumpkin patches. I'd guess that last year we had between ten and fifteen by the time Halloween rolled around, not including the four that we managed to grow. I was trying to put off the first pumpkin purchase until October 1, but how could we pass up this fine looking beauty sitting in front of the local Giant yesterday?
How about these "outtakes"? Just try to get a nine year old to sit nicely for a photo!
