We were off of school on Monday so Paul and I went over to Grandma's house to make applesauce. Making and canning applesauce is one of Grandma's specialties and since Paul is eating a lot of store-bought applesauce these days, helping her was a good way for him to see how it was made. It was fun to make the sauce and be with Grandma, and we now have the perfect Christmas gift for Paul's teacher -- a golden jar of goodness.
