The other day Ben stopped the car as we rounded the drive near the house so he could talk with our neighbor for a few minutes. As I sat and waited for him, I looked out at the house and realized that it was hard to see the house as so many bushes and vines and even a little tree were blocking the view. Vines and brush are busy taking over various parts of our yard, or it would be better said that they have taken over parts of the yard. But this specific encroachment was still small enough that I could do something about it. So on this cool but sunny day I spend an hour or two outside pruning out what we hadn't planted and didn't want.

I also played around with my blog, learning how to make the photo banner at the top and this cool signature at the bottom. How do you like it?
You are inspiring me! We visited a friend over the weekend who is doing a lot of yard work at their new house - it was very overgrown. I can't wait to get out in the yard and also get things done around the house - spring break here we come! By the way, I love, love your blog! You are so good in keeping it up-to-date! I wish I could do the same!!!!
