Getting Back to Work

If you have to return to work after having the summer off, being welcomed back with an omelet breakfast is a pretty good way to get started. My school requires staff to return two days before the children begin school, giving us time to attend a Chapel service and two mornings of professional training, and work in our classrooms (or library) to prepare for the children's return on Wednesday.

Each day we are treated to a wonderful meal. Today it was made-to-order omelets, and tomorrow is barbecue from the local "Red, Hot, and Blue" restaurant. It's a nice gesture of thanks and a gracious way to start the new year.

I didn't finish painting Paul's bedroom, but in a push of household organizing I did finally "go up the walls" in organizing the desk that holds my IMAC. This "before" view shows the desk pulled away from the wall so that the printer, router, and other accessories could sit behind it on a little table.

This "now" photo shows how I moved all those accessories on to the desk using shelf organizers by Closetmaid, thereby allowing me to push the desk right up to the wall and open up floor space while putting everything I need within easy reach. I'm quite pleased with the result!
