My Loving Cat

My cat loves me tonight. He has to be close to me, even if that means climbing up to the shelf above the computer to hang out on top of the printer. He's in heaven, since he's near me.

Earlier this evening he had to bat at my fingers as I typed, but now, thank heavens, he is happy to sit above me and send me loving purrs. 90% of the time he is happy to be an outdoor cat, busy stalking small wild things and exploring the woods, but 10% of the time he becomes a love-crazed homebody. This is one of those nights. Paul believes that Fetcher is "his" cat, but Fetcher and I know better. We just don't tell Paul.

Good night little kitty. I love you, too. Try not to break anything on your way down.

  1. Fetcher purring on the printer is a replica of our daughter's cat, Kona, in exactly the same pose in rural Japan. I can hear her purring through the Skype microphone.

I love your office views, especially since I spent the whole day yesterday trying to find a place for and install my new Canon printer. Finally I put it back on my desk where the old one was. Installing its Wifi connection was the hardest technological task I ever accomplished, but afterwardsI felt mighty proud. Your Mac environment is terrific. No wonder Fetcher likes to hang out there.
