On Saturday we decided it was time to buy our new living room rug. The weather was cooler and it would soon be time to cocoon at home. After a couple of hours of poking around the Internet to learn about rugs and rug sizing and looking at at least a hundred rugs online, we decided on a beautiful area rug from Garnet Hill. We ordered it online, and, just like magic, it arrived at the house today.
It was pretty exciting to see how well it looked, how nicely it fit in the living room, and how cozy it felt. What with having dogs for the past twenty-some years, we gave up on rugs, so having that nice cushion underfoot and the pretty colors on the floor is a treat. I rearranged the room, flipping the sofa and the big leather chair, and moving out a small chest of drawers to open up the space a bit more, and I like the result very much.
