Holiday Party

Here I am at the staff holiday party after school yesterday. It was quite festive, and don't I look quite festive, as well? And this was before we each got a "Christmas Cheer" bonus!

This morning I went to an early morning "One to One" session at the Apple store, where I learned that my clever IMAC will read (out loud) to me anything that I've put into Pages. How amazing, and how useful it could be for literally reading back to yourself something you've read. I'm going to try it on Paul when he finishes writing a short paper he has due on Monday. We always tell him to read what he wrote back to himself and hear how it flows, but I think that actually hearing a voice read it while he reads along could be very helpful.

After the session I went shopping. Since I don't shop much anymore except online, getting out was a real treat. It was fun to see all the decorations and check out all the seasonal offerings. I especially enjoyed this tree, which appeared to be made of cream puffs!
