After looking around a bit, there it was, the perfect tree for us.
The menfolk braved the wet dirt to saw it down while I recorded the event for the historical record.
We gave a victory cheer....
...and hauled it up to the barn to be shaken, baled, and drilled...
...and once again benefited from Ben's expertise with knots.
We don't always take the time to drive way out in the country to cut down our own tree, but have always enjoyed it when we did.
