Scooter Tour

The big event yesterday was our two-hour afternoon scooter tour of downtown Paris.  We had seen a group on these intriguing vehicles, crosses between real scooters and Segways, and were excited to have the chance to try them out.  We all had a great time!

Navigating the busy sidewalks, bike lanes, and sometimes even streets of downtown was quite the adrenalin rush, but our very capable guide, Martin, led the way and kept us out of trouble.  He also was a great tour guide, telling us interesting stories and taking great photos of us at the different sites.

It's not too often that you get your photo taken while holding a scooter helmet!  This is at the Alexander III bridge.

Later we went to Sainte-Chapelle near Notre Dame to hear a live concert, a welcome soothing hour after the excitement of the scooter tour.

After the concert we walked around the Ile De La Cite Area, checking out Notre Dame and the street performers, including these amazing roller bladders who jumped high in the air off a ramp.   Paul took these great photos.

This bubble maker was also fun to watch.

It was a beautiful night but the boys were tired out and ready to head back to the apartment to load up their photos into Instagram.  Ben and I knew these wonderful nights are numbered, so we dropped them off, fed them dinner and headed out again to enjoy ourselves over dinner and a walk.
