Old Friends

It's been a pleasure having Bryan visit with us these past couple of days and see how he's growing up. 

His family used to live next door to us and we've known him since he was born.  His mother had a day care operation and watched Paul for several years and Bryan and Paul went to nursery school and Kindergarten together before Bryan moved up to Pennsylvania.

Yesterday their friends Alex and Tommy came over to go to the movies and then have game night together.   They also were part of Miss Margie's day care and have known Paul and Bryan since they were little.  Here they are during a trip we took to Great Wolf Lodge a few years ago.  

And look at them now!

Some things never change; when they get together at our house they are all either in the living room enjoying video games or running around outside playing water games, hiding games, or gun games.  

I know it's going to be hard for Paul to leave these friends when it's time to move to Boulder.  Already he is scheming about spending a few weeks every summer back here.  I say "where there's a will there's a way," and am comitted to helping him however we can to maintain these valued friendships.
