I'm having a great time here in San Diego visiting with Jean and Janice. On Sunday we went to Coronado and had lunch the Hotel del Coronado before hitting the beach. Back near our hotel we had a fun evening at the highly rated Solare restaurant.
Yesterday we went to Cabrillo National Monument from which you can see 360 degree views of the entire area. Seeing that made me understand the relationship of the Pacific Ocean, the San Diego Bay, and Mexico. In the afternoon we took a two hour harbor tour which explained the role of the Navy in San Diego. We sailed by the Pacific Fleet which is docked in the bay. The sight of so many aircraft carriers, destroyers, guided missile launchers was very interesting and impressive.
Today is our last day together and we are heading to La Jolla. We sure do enjoy each other's company!
