Hello December!

And suddenly it's December!  To start off the holiday season right we went with Ben's brother, John, and his two sons to Boulder's Parade of Lights on Saturday night.   It was a lovely night with clear skies and warmish temperatures, just right for being downtown having a beer or hot chocolate by the old Boulderado Hotel while watching a local parade.

The Boulder High School Drum Line kicked it off and you could hear those drums way before they actually showed up.  Last year Paul marched but this year theater is taking all his time, so he ran along side them happily calling applauding and cheering them on.

When the Boulder High tech club showed up on a firetruck he called out to all the kids he knew, which is really what many spectators did as the various floats went by, in the small town way that is what I love about this parade.

I also loved the way spectators did not stay on the sidewalk but went into the streets to see their friends in the parade, to interact with the marchers, and to get the candy that the marchers threw.  It was a lot of fun.

One of my goals for November was to finish up the quilt I was making to give to Blue Sky Bridge, and I did.  I love how it turned out.

Our weather changed today so it is much colder and very windy.  Well, it is December!
