It's not everyday that you wake up and see a Bobcat outside your dining room window.
He did it!

On Wednesday afternoon the first wildfire of the season was spotted, just up Gregory Canyon above Chautauqua. It was put out in about eight hours, but portends an active fire season if we don't get more snow or rain.
So we were happy to have a good steady rain for a while last night, though it was all over by the time we finished dinner and left the restaurant.
Well, the fellows have started work now, using a jack hammer to split up a huge boulder that is half in our yard and half under our neighbor's stone wall. They have to dig another twenty inches down under the huge rock to move ahead in their work so they have some hard and noisy labor ahead of them.
Glad I won't be around for all of it. I'm off to Pilates soon, then lunch and some shopping with Dawn. If everyone is lucky the jack hammering will be all done by the time I'm back.
Wow- that Bobcat looks so big in a small spot. Congrats to Paul-he looks much older. I can't believe it's fire season already. Hope you get lots more rain to calm things down. Ugh. That's scary stuff.
