On this hot, hot, hot day....oh, and did I say humid?....it is very nice to come home not only to air conditioning but to our welcoming little pond which sits next to the walkway up to the front door. We added it to our yard in May and are really enjoying it. On 95+ degree days like today it is like a little oasis in the sweltering heat. We love hearing the sound of the water moving through the pump, catching a glimpse of the gold and white on the fish, and even reaching down and touching the silky water itself. And when the lily blooms....well, it is a wonder.
