I spent the morning prepping the entry room for the repainting my Mom and I will do tomorrow. It was pretty daunting. Though it is a small room it has lots of woodwork, a bumpy ceiling, and broken up walls which will require a great deal of cutting in. I'm so glad my Mom is going to help me. But today I got it all ready, hauling everything out of the room, spackling, and washing down the walls and woodwork.
While I was hunting up the paint supplies I found two cat collars that we needed, my favorite baseball cap, and a T-shirt of Paul's from Hershey Park which he'd been missing, so that felt good. But what really felt good was that when I sat down to rest I realized that I was really enjoying some of the work I'd done on the house earlier this summer.
I like how I cleaned up this spot near Ben's computer....
...how Paul's toys are neatly stored....
...how his school books are actually in a book shelf and there's space near his desk for his big school binder and backpack ....
...and how my new comfy leather desk chair goes so perfectly with the walls near my computer.
It's all good and encourages me to get the entry room painted and fixed up so it will make me smile, too.
