Water, Water, Everywhere

One of the great things about our vacation was being in or around water almost every day.

In Lake Placid we kayaked on the beautiful Mirror Lake ...


...and swam in its amazingly clear water.


In the White Mountains, we played in streams and swam and floated down the sparkling clean Saco River, stopping to jump into the river from a real rope swing (you can just see it if you click on this picture.)

In Maine, we threw rocks into the ocean while Ben did a little rock climbing....

... swam in the warm lakes, played in the cold ocean....

...and waded in the fascinating tidepools.

Having such ready access to such a wide variety of water was really wonderful.
