Pond Thoughts on a Hot Day

It's been hot the past few days, the first really hot days we've had this year. A good time to think about calm, cool ponds.

We're in the throes of making a decision about adding a pond near the newly renovated entrance to our house, and are interviewing pond companies and imagining all kinds of possibilities.

Today I went to see this lovely pond. It has two waterfalls, a lovely patio, and naturalistic plantings.

I'll take a pond just like this one, please. Oh, it cost $30,000, takes twice the space that we have, and requires a hillside? Drat!
