Outdoor Education

Paul was very excited this morning as he packed up for two days at camp, part of the school's "outdoor education" program. By 11:00 he was happily exploring Camp Letts on the banks of the West River near Annapolis along with his classmates.

By 1:00 Ben and I were on our way to our own "outdoor education" experience. We drove around the Beltway to Glen Echo where we had lunch at a great seafood restaurant...

...and then on to Carderrock, a scenic spot on the C&O Canal, for a beautiful hike by the Potomac River.

I don't know what these flowers are called, but they sure were pretty.
