Missed Again

A headline from this morning's Washington Post:

"D.C. hasn’t recorded 2 inches of snow in a storm in more than 2 years"

Does the Northeast need all that snow? Wouldn't the folks up there be happier if some of it--say eight inches-- had come to the DC area instead?  We don't need much, just a few inches so we can go sledding, please.  But no, the sled sits forlornly by the deck waiting for action it just doesn't get.

Well, we had our excitement last night anyway, snow or no snow.   During a run to Target, Paul convinced me to buy cheese balls.  I routinely resist his requests for this snack since they can only be purchased in the world's biggest jar.

It was quite amusing watching Ben an Paul eat them.

Actually we had a nice evening together drinking champagne (just Ben & I!) and watching short videos on the computer while Fetcher hung out nearby.

I did some extensive web browsing, pausing for quite a while to look at these photos of Haiti.

I also admired this house in Boulder.  Great walkable location and plenty big enough even if 1,000 of the 4,000 square feet is unfinished.  It's a tad over our budget, to say the least, but it's fun to dream.

Then some time to read before bed.  Having finished The Fault in Our Stars (so sad) I've decided to join the 8th graders as they read To Kill a Mockingbird.  Talk about good writing....
