September 29: an Adult Role

Paul is back in Boulder High’s theater troupe, but this time in an adult role.  He was offered a contract as the Technical Director for the upcoming school year and was very excited to accept it.  The troupe puts on three productions each school year: Black Box (basically one act plays with minimal sets), Haunted House, and the spring musical.  Tonight was the last night for Black Box and I went to see it, sitting in “reserved seats,” courtesy of Paul.  It was great fun to sit next to him and hear his commentary.  And I noted that the new sound board was well managed by the sound crew who Paul had trained. Paul was excited and happy and I was a proud mama!
