My nephew, John, and his brother, Michael, will be six on Wednesday, which is a real milestone. Not only are they both in school, but they have reached that wonderful age where they proudly show off their "big boy underpants." When Johnny showed me his tonight, I remembered the days when Paul and his friends would gleefully greet each other by pulling down their pants to show up their Star War, or Power Ranger undies. Now days it's all white down there and usually well hidden under jeans or sweats.
