Kitchenware triage

We packed in a hurry, so we are unpacking slowly and thoughtfully. What do we actually need in this box? I was very happy to see some kitchen towels and will put these in a kitchen drawer until we get around to buying new ones to match our new color scheme. Cobalt blue glassware is one of the few things I collect, so I will find a place to display this little pitcher. The big cherry- decorated pitcher is cute, but we never use it , so it's going to the "give-away" box, as will the small blue & white creamer. I know it's really pretty, but when did we use it last? Maybe decades ago when we set the breakfast table for house guests. Nowadays we make lattes in our wonderful latte maker, so we never use cream. You'd think the Cut-Rite wax paper would be a welcome sight, but we rarely use wax paper and there's three boxes in the storage shelves downstairs, so this one will join that gang. The box of oven bags will also go down there, since I use an oven bag about once a year.

All this sorting takes awhile, but I'm not in a hurry since it means having an uncluttered kitchen with only the things we really use. That will be a nice change.
