We're settling into our new space, even though it isn't quite finished yet. The new window will be installed later this week; meanwhile we have a big expanse of plastic covered plywood covering that space. And the dishwasher isn't installed yet, but we're cool. I cooked up a bunch of oven fried chicken and a big dish of brownies for the Cub Scout Blue and Gold pot luck dinner last night, and found that cooking in the new kitchen worked out great (see top photo for just part of the amazing spread that was set for that dinner). While Serge still listens for the workmen at 7:00, he soon gets over not seeing them and settles into long naps on the new wood floor. And today we had two kids, two adults and two animals in the kitchen while the kids made Rice Krispie bars and we all fit just perfectly. As L.D. says on
