Yesterday, in anticipation of today's rain, Paul and I planted the early spring seeds in the garden: three kinds of lettuce, some beets and some carrots. We have never actually grown any of these plants, but this is the year! Last year this time we were still planning the garden, but this year we were ready to go. During today's gray skies, it was nice to know that we'd gotten the seeds in and they were soaking up the rain.
