We've had so much rain the past six weeks that it's hard to imagine that the sky could have any more moisture left in it. But it did, and we woke up today to a tremendous thunderstorm. Late in the morning the sun came out with an unfamiliar brilliance and accompanied by a muggy heat wave. When the pool opened at 2:00 we were the first there, enjoying the cooling breeze over the water. The fun lasted for about three hours, and we were eating dinner at the pool's snack bar when another dramatic thunderstorm hit the area. We're off to the beach tomorrow, and more thunderstorms are predicted. We hope we'll be as lucky as we were today, and manage to get a bit of sunny fun in between the rains.
The cutest little spider man was at the pool today.
