For the past few years the seventh graders have taken a field trip up to NYC to see the Broadway musical Wicked. This year I got to go along as a chaperon. The weather was decent, the kids were fun and well-behaved, the adults were all compatible, the bus ride was long but reasonably pleasant, and the musical, well, it was amazingly good. And to top it all off, my sister, Jean, got to come along as my guest. We had a great time.
