Paul's 11th birthday has been a two-day celebration. Our local pool had a float and movie night last night, so we had Paul's actual party then, celebrating with brownie cake and ice cream bars in between playing with floats in the pool, jumping off the high dive as darkness descended and the underwater pool lights came on, and watching
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader on an outdoor screen while keeping cool in the pool. It was all great fun.
Afterwards, Paul and a couple of friends slept in the tent by the side of the pond. Pretty sweet.
Today, the actual birthday, was more laid back. Paul's life-long friend, Bryan, who now lives in Pennsylvania, is visiting for the week, and together they explored Paul's birthday gifts, played video games, and hung out by the pond.
