I spent last night at the local 4-H camp, helping to chaperon the outdoor education program for my school's fifth graders. Paul had gone to that same camp last year as a fifth grader and he assured me that the mattresses were "crappy." I found them to be about the same as every other similar camp I've been to. Meaning that between the mattress quality and the persistent giggling of little girls determined to stay up late, I only got a few hours sleep.
But I also got a fun evening with a group of delightful kids, culminating in a grand campfire outside on a beautiful night.
I'm sure I'll sleep very well tonight!
