There's still a bit of snow on the ground from Monday's little snowfall and the Flatirons are looking beautiful. Ben and I got up there for a hike today and it was wonderful.
We've had a great day, ending with a yummy dinner of Seafood Chowder, made by Ben, and homemade ice cream, made by me. Our guests, our friend Lotus and her husband Dan, brought salad along with good cheer and we had lovely evening together. We're making Persian Spiced lamb shanks for Christmas dinner tomorrow with Ray and Paula and their family, and the smell of those spices and lamb cooking in the oven is making the house smell divine.
We are anticipating a winter storm starting tomorrow afternoon, with up to eight inches of snow expected to fall Christmas evening and Friday morning. We will have a white Christmas!
Paul's friend, Bryan, is due to fly in Friday afternoon but our friends tell us that around here this kind of snow is unlikely to result in cancelled flights coming into Denver, so all should be well.
Wishing all of you a wonderful Christmas!
sounds very friendful and cozy. Snow like that would paralyze MD. LeeAnna
