Starting the day with lots of sun and several inches of powdery snow on the ground, opening stocking and presents in front of the fire with Spikey and Fetcher in attendance. Ben has been cooking up a storm the past couple days, fixing a delicious dinner of stuffed rib roast that we shared with Bob and Inger and Scott on Saturday night, classic baked mac and cheese for lunch on Christmas Eve with Ray and Paula and their daughter Kate and her husband, who are home from Hong Kong for a couple of weeks, and make-ahead scallops for Christmas Eve dinner with Lotus and Dan. Today I'm taking over, making 40 Cloves of Garlic Chicken to share with my friend LeeAnna and her husband who have just moved here from Maryland. Lots of good food and good times!
