Skiing with dogs

When I came out of Pilates class yesterday I drove by North Boulder park, a nice flat expanse of open park which is used by folks to practice their cross country skiing after a snow of more than a few inches.

There were, indeed, people skiing, but what made me stop my car for a closer look were the dogs that were also out and enjoying the snow.

One fellow was even skiing with his dog, which was fun to watch.

So much fun that I had to take a video.

After a bit I caught sight of this handsome dog, which looked like a poodle but was probably a "doodle," being "walked" by his two child owners.

He got a good trot going and whoosh! Away they went!

Hey, we're skiing!

Can you tell that I shot these from the car?  Baby, it was cold outside yesterday; only about 15 degrees when I was at the park.  It warmed up today to about 50 degrees but the wind howled all day long and practically blew me down the street when I walked downtown to meet Ben for lunch.  It's supposed to stay windy through Friday; yikes!
