Keeping Warm

We had a gorgeous spring-like day on Friday, perfect for cleaning off the deck (Mary), running the chipper to grind up more brush along the driveway (Ben) or for racing around the yard playing airsoft gun battles with your friends (Paul). And that was all good since the our house was in chaos what with all the sanding and painting going on inside.

But the polar express roared in on Friday night and the weekend has been cold and windy.  My sister-in-law, Dawn, and I went to Annapolis yesterday to take care of some business and do some shopping, and the wind off the water was brisk to say the least.  Later in the afternoon we took refuge in Reynolds Tavern where we had tea.

The menfolk dropped the kids off at Open Gym where they warmed up running around and jumping on the trampolines.  The adults all met up at O'Leary's Seafood restaurant in Eastport for our delayed Valentine's dinner.

The food was great and abundant, the friendship was warm and lively, and all in all it was a great evening.
