A Night in Birdland

Last night Paul and I went with friends to watch the Baltimore Orioles play the Seattle Mariners at the Camden Yards stadium in Baltimore. Although we've attended a few minor league games, this was definitely Paul's first major league game and I'm pretty sure it was mine. We enjoyed checking out the stadium.




The game was quite exciting and fun. At the end of the ninth inning, the teams were tied. They fought it out for two more innings until the O's finally won. At one point, I think in the tenth inning, the O's had three men on base, which was thrilling, but the game was won later with a single play that brought a lone runner in from third. We all got into it and enjoyed the win.



It was sweltering inside the stadium. Hot and humid and airless. There was nothing to do but go with it and sweat like crazy, ignore your frizzled wet hair, and be glad you wore light clothes! Despite the heat, we had a great time.
