A Beautiful Evening for a Nerf Gun Battle
Paul's Halloween party had plenty of organized games, like "Who can keep their balloon up in the air the longest?," pictured above. There a craft and lots of candy and a spooky Monster Hunt through our woods. But what the kids liked the most was the Nerf gun battle. As the night darkened they took off the uncomfortable or encumbering parts of their costumes, put on a glow stick necklace so they could see each other, armed themselves with an amazing variety of Nerf guns, divided into teams, and got down to what they considered the main business of the evening. It was, in Paul's words, "Epic."
Later they relaxed by the campfire, roasting marshmallows and telling ghost stories. When they had got their second wind and set off to to battle again, the adults took their place by the fire, relaxing with chili and beer while admiring the fire and the full moon. It was a perfect evening for a Nerf gun battle.
