On the Camera

This is my photo but they aren't my cone flowers.  Too bad!

No, Ben didn't write his name on this restaurant's wall, but it was fun to see that someone had.  Couldn't find "Mary" anywhere, which I thought was odd.

We've had great weather here lately, with wonderful cool nights which are perfect for dining out alfresco or sleeping with the windows open.

Paul's group is playing its last few gigs before the band disbands for the next semester of school.  This one was at a local bike shop that has a bar and a good floor for dancing. Why, I don't know, but it was a nice place for a gig.

Nobody walked to school where we lived in Maryland, and I love to see them doing it here. Looks a lot more fun than car pooling or taking the bus.

When you start looking for shadows, you'll find them!  I thought this would make a cool quilting pattern.

There was a little problem with the sprinkler system and Ben saved us hundreds of dollars by tackling the repair himself.  After forty years, his talents still amaze me.

I've walked by this statue near the Farmer's Market many times, but just really noticed it the other day.  Someday I'll have to learn the story behind it.

We were rewarded with this lovely view on a recent hike.  We've had some smoke from the California wildfires, but also some beautiful clear days.

I've been sewing a lot lately, working on a challenge due next week.  I started messing around with this design as a break from working on the harder challenge.  Sewing and quilting are like reading; hard to write about since I do it so regularly.  But I am going to try and get a post written in the next few days about what I've been creating this summer.   Here's a hint:  there are lots of ways to arrange the little blocks in this piece!
